Hyatt House Dallas/Las Colinas

The service I received here was great. I arrived late and the front desk person made sure I wasn't put in a room with "issues." That being said, this made me think there are rooms with issues as other reviewers have stated. My room was great it was a 2 bedroom 2 bathroom apartment. Not sure about the other rooms. It is a bit of a maze and the you definitely need a map. Night time was hard to find the room. I am a Hyatt member and this was not the best Hyatt but also not the worse.

I’m going be completely honest with this review and say it’s not the worst place to stay but it’s not the best. The rooms are a little bit dirty, the walls, the bathroom, the kitchen and the carpet which had me stop by the stop so I can buy slippers. The beds are extremely comfortable, so are the pillows which is probably my favorite thing about the room . I also appreciate the fact that you have a kitchen, although I didn’t cook in it because it seemed dirty. The staff is super friendly here and very accommodating. I would give it a solid 3/5- breakfast is free and standard.

I recently had the unfortunate experience of staying at the Hyatt House Los Colinas / Dallas from 10/13/2023 to 10/15/2023. This stay left me with a sense of disappointment and frustration, which is unusual for a brand I typically associate with high standards and exceptional service. Upon my arrival, I immediately encountered a series of issues in my room, all of which significantly detracted from the quality of my stay. Firstly, the room had a strong and unmistakable smell of smoke, making the environment uncomfortable and far from the fresh atmosphere I expected from a Hyatt property. Additionally, I noticed mold in the shower and visible stains on the floor, which was certainly not up to the cleanliness standards I anticipated. Dishearteningly, despite reporting these issues to the hotel staff, no action was taken to address or rectify these problems during my stay. In an attempt to navigate the hotel's layout after dark, I requested a map of the property, but this simple request went unfulfilled by the hotel staff. This only added to the inconvenience and lack of attention to detail that marred my stay. What further contributed to our discomfort and disappointment was the discovery of a half-drunk whiskey bottle left in the kitchen cabinet upon our arrival. This oversight was both unexpected and unsettling, as it cast doubt on the cleanliness and thoroughness of the housekeeping services. I understand that issues can occasionally arise, but what truly disappointed me was the lack of resolution and customer service during my stay. Hyatt, a brand renowned for its exceptional customer service, failed to meet the standards it is known for.

Hyatt house has a great location,nice area close to the things we like. We have stayed here many times because of the convenient location. Rooms look down and need upgrades. Pillows were super flat with absolutely none neck support and super small. On the first night we had a room with the main lock bended open, like someone tried to break in. This made us feel extremely unsafe but they were nice and changed us room. We were not big fans of breakfast, very basic nothing special, we just had the 1st morning, we preferred to go somewhere else and had a nice breakfast. They used to offer omelets that was really nice, those were good times. Not anymore

We stayed here for a week for a business trip. The staff was friendly. The rooms were clean and it was nice to have a full kitchen. Unfortunately, the Internet is non existent. We had to go to Starbucks to work. The room was scheduled to be cleaned but they never came. I had to ask 2 more times before they brought me fresh towels and took our trash. Didn't clean the room but at least we got the towels and trash. There was no soap to clean the dishes and I had to ask the front desk for toilet paper as there was no extra in the room. The breakfast is ok. Mainly selections of scrambled eggs, sometimes a meat and things like waffles, toast, bagels, cereal and sometimes oatmeal. But the breakfast is included. The pool and hot tub are nice and so is the basketball court. The gym is small but it has a nice selection of equipment. It seems to me they might be a bit understaffed at the moment and also short on supplies. Just FYI for people considering staying here. There are no elevators. It's more like staying in a small condo. 2 and 3 levels. If you have to work maybe consider someplace else as the Internet signal is weak even in the office area. It is close to the convention center and many good restaurants within walking distance. There is laundry onsite. I don't believe this hotel should be above a 2 star. I've definitely stayed in better but I've also stayed in worse.

The staff was friendly, but clearly understaffed and unorganized. There were 5 guests all in the lobby backed up waiting to get checked in. The staff had no idea where to put us all even though we'd made reservations well in advance; they expressed having to go back and forth between multiple programs to see room availability and upcoming check-ins. I booked three single bedrooms, two of which they had ready for me, one of which they did not. Once my co-workers got to their rooms the first found a cockroach in his room, the second found his room hadn't been cleaned at all. My room, took over an hour for the staff to find an available room, once they found it it was supposedly cleaned for me, but after trekking all the way to the very back of the complex to my room it was still being cleaned. It was clear that the carpets have not been shampooed in ages by the disgusting black marks on my feet when I tried taking my shoes off, and the vacuum job was rushed leaving the floor less than ideal for guests. The employees tried to make the best of a bad situation being apologetic, friendly and accommodating. This facility is clearly underfunded and poorly managed. Not to mention the noise pollution from the nearby busy streets at night makes it incredibly difficult to sleep. The only other plus side was the complimentary coffee in my room I was able to brew in the morning was delicious, kudos to whatever brand they partner with.
